Austin Residence 4 The Garden Design Studio is excited to share the Austin Residence 4 , a stunning transformation of an exterior that showcases our emphasis on quality and creativity in landscape development. Located in Austin, the utilizes a highly compatible combination of modern design with nature, systematically designed to meet our clients’ needs. We began the with a thorough site visit, allowing us to respond to the site’s existing topography and solar conditions. We were able to strategically use a variety of native plants, that are well suited to the local climate, to create a sustainable and low maintenance garden. The design focused on a colorful display of drought tolerant perennials which were positioned for interest throughout the year, and a system of quality stone paths made of locally sourced limestone that connect key areas and align with the properties natural aesthetic. A highlighted and functional exterior living space serves as the heart of the landscape, featuring a custom-built pergola defining the space and providing shade, along with small-scale gatherings. A water feature was also integrated in the design to create a calming sound and attract wildlife and enrich habitat. To address drainage issues, necessary grading was utilized to manage rain garden conditions, improve sheen and promote infiltration in rain garden areas, to manage runoff. The outcome is a beautiful outdoor oasis that exactly represents the clients' desires. They are ecstatic their landscape because it will function as needed, while providing a beautiful experience that is enjoyable for leisure and entertaining other people alike. The Austin Residence 4 serves to illustrate The Garden Design Studio practices of creating naturalistic landscapes that not only occupy place in the environment, but also represent our clients’ interests.
