Summary: Maplewood by 50 Shades of Green Located within Houston’s more affluent neighborhoods, the 'Maplewood' by 50 Shades of Green exemplifies our commitment to excellence in landscaping. We take on portions of Bellaire, Bunker Hill Village, and Sugar Land. The was ambitious, with the goal of transforming a plain backyard into a tranquil outdoor paradise. The client requested a place that matched their contemporary home and allowed for family and dog gatherings. We fully enveloped the client's outdoor desire, designing a multi-leveled landscape with native Texan plants, emphasizing low maintenance and sustainability with aesthetic appeal. Notable features were a handsome stone path of locally sourced flagstone reaching a custom fire pit embraced by a collection of native and ornamental grasses with surrounding lush plants. The graded design was made by overcoming the challenges that came with the property’s incredibly uneven terrain. Our skilled landscapers utilized superior grading techniques in order to implement a balanced landscape for optimal drainage and a flat base to plant beds. Material selection was important to ensure the end product was durable and weather-resistant for the notoriously hot and wet Texas climate. Our aim was achieved by taking into consideration ledge, boulders, and sun exposure, by finishing the job with a stunning balance of form and function, where vibrant perennials, ornamental grasses, and strategically placed boulders are focal points throughout the landscape. The clients were overjoyed with a total integration of element and materials that conducive to both relaxation and enjoyment. At 50 Shades of Green, we are proud of the quality craftsmanship and ideas we put into our business, and Maplewood is a perfect example of our commitment.
