About This Project

Lakes on Eldridge Located in the heart of Houston, the Lakes on Eldridge was conducted by 50 Shades of Green, demonstrating our passion for creating outdoor spaces into truly stunning landscapes. This extensive undertaking involves the renovation of a large residential property including a tranquil lake providing both aesthetics and a unique challenge. In perfecting a balance of natural and modern, we incorporated a variety of unique landscaping features, from beautiful native plant gardens to cycled pathways complemented by an incredible water feature that establishes a relaxing connection to the lake beyond. The design featured prominently drought-resistant plants that wonderful well in the local climate and were economical in water use. One of the biggest challenges was the undulation of the surrounding landscape of the lake required innovative grading solutions to allow for appropriate water drainage while decreasing erosion as well. As is usually the case, 50 Shades of Green teams used high-quality natural stone for retaining walls which provided structural integrity while also providing rustic beauty in harmony with the natural landscape. The finishing touches in this phase of the consisted of outdoor lighting to enhance the cycling pathways and showcase the lush vegetation while creating magic at night! The thought, planning, and execution involved with this was remarkable and remarkable detail ranging from the soil selection to the ornamental grasses used demonstrated the beauty of the client's vision. The end result was a beautiful sanctuary in the outdoors that not only increased the curb appeal of the residence, but provided a refuge for the homeowners to enjoy. We received quality feedback from the homeowner their excitement of having a highly crafted landscape design that was beautifully tied to the natural landscape of the property.
