About This Project

Richmond by 50 Shades of Green Located in the heart of Houston, Richmond exemplifies the skill and artistry that 50 Shades of Green provides to its clientele from Bellaire, Bunker Hill Village, Greatwood, and beyond. This landscaping turned a run-of-the-mill outdoor space into a tranquil refuge. The landscape design featured a unique balance of hardscaping and softscaping components to integrate with the existing home and outdoor spaces. High-quality natural stone pavers were placed to create pathways that welcomed the user to enjoy the outdoor setting. A custom built flagstone patio was created as a gathering space for outdoor entertaining. In addition, an amazing water feature with a cascading fountain served multiple usages - as a feature element and to create a relaxing white noise both moving and still to fill the space. Unlevel terrain and drainage issues presented challenges to the landscaping work, and our team was able to pin point, and resolve, this concern while implementing the drainage system lastingly and sustainably, preventing water pooling. The plantings that were installed were specifically drought tolerant and coordinated with seasonal blooming colors rather than flowering species of trees/shrubs, to continuously view a vibrant blooming colored landscape. The final transformation was breathtaking, as the client was excited the which included colorful seasonal flowers, trees for shade/privacy, and a beautiful lawn which invited, not only the client but friends/family, to spend time together outdoors. Richmond is an amazing showing of 50 Shades of Green as a company and a design-on-being and quality landscaping in the Houston area and its communities.
