West Austin Mid Century This features landscape design and construction services by D-CRAIN. Our West Austin Mid Century landscaping is a unique blend of modern design and classic style. Built in the vibrant landscape of West Austin and designed to reflect the mid-century architecture of the home, this also responded to the needs of the site. The design includes a blending of native plants, textural stone pathways and refinished hardscaping that complements the home. Drought-resistant plants were selected, while also enhancing the existing landscape. The naturally sourced limestone patio provided a durable substrate to work from while maintaining a warm tonality similar to the house. The upfront site challenges included working with a sloping site which required grading solutions for drainage and erosion control. Our skillful team made use of tiered planters, while successively being mindful of aesthetics and functional use of space for landscaping. The outcome is a beautiful outdoor living area with a mix of relaxation and entertaining options and encased with a custom fire pit with flourishing greenery.
