Kitchen by D-CRAIN Design and Construction D-CRAIN Design and Construction is excited to present this Kitchen , a beautiful upgrade that transformed outdoor dining and entertaining in the heart of Austin. Located in the beautiful Barton Creek area, this successfully unites nature and design into a fantastic outdoor space that is conducive to cooking and socialization. To begin, design and build teams made a thorough site analysis to assess the unique topography and climate of the , ensuring that each aspect of the newly designed backyard was appropriate for the natural environment. The site presented the added challenge of a step slope, which we addressed through tiered planting beds and a well-designed retaining wall. The wall was built of local stone; as a design detail, it presents a rustic and natural tone to the hardscape of the landscape. Next, we built an outdoor kitchen using premium products, including a weatherproof granite top and stainless steel appliances. The combination of these materials provide the durability and functionality of a modern kitchen and balance of visual interest. Adjacent to the kitchen is a sizable patio area made from eco-friendly pavers, providing ample space for dining and entertaining guests. Around the kitchen and patio area we added lush foliage comprised of native plants and ornamental grasses to create a natural privacy screen, providing more desirable outdoor living while decreasing maintenance needs. To complete the , we upgraded this space to include a fully designed irrigation system, specifically addressing drainage issues presented by this site; it is now, and always will be, well-maintained and thriving with color during the horrid heat of Texas summers. Finally, we installed subtle soft lighting features which provide sublime illumination at night when the space is used for entertaining guests and family. The end result is an outdoor kitchen area that will allow for more cooking, entertaining, and socialization with friends and family than ever before. Thankfully, and as always, our customers are now rhaving their spa, we are thankful for their ease to care for and thought to the relevant thought of when used.
