Wayzata Condo Retreat The Wayzata Condo Retreat , completed by Stonepocket Unique Landscapes in Wayzata, represents the best of refined outdoor design. The took an ordinary condo landscape and created a whimsical outdoor retreat that integrated nature into a modern setting. The team developed a thoughtfully crafted multi-dimensional garden with native plants, seasonally flowering perennials, and lush greens, all aspects designed to create a year-round flowering display while enhancing local biodiversity. The focal point of the garden experience is a beautiful stone pathway made from locally quarried bluestone - a meditative experience leading through the garden and connecting the outdoor spaces. We installed a custom water feature that gently tumbles and enhances the experience with sound and makes a stunning focal point visually - and also promotes local wildlife. The site had its challenges - sloped terrain - and we resolved some issues at the property boundaries by implementing drainage, using subscribers to move water away from patio spaces, and floating soil to help reclaim other areas of the space to prevent pooling. To accomplish this, we dissected where the water pooled, implemented french technology drains, and created a terraced garden design, which provided beauty through depth and dimensionality. The concluded with soft lighting installed throughout the outdoor spaces, the retreat began to beautifully glow in the dusk hours, creating a welcoming experience for the owners and guests. Ultimately, the exceeded the client's expectations, ultimately transitioning the landscape into an elevated outdoor oasis for relaxation and entertainment.
