From installing a robust landscape to converting a large and unappealing lot into a tranquil oasis, we successfully added beauty and function to the estate. Our landscaping team began the by analyzing the site in detail. We evaluated the existing topography, soil, and plants on the property. We worked to integrate as many native plants as possible to create an environmentally friendly setting and site with year-round embellishment. The supreme use of hardscape in conjunction with vibrant plants created visual interest and very complimentary perspective across the property. Materials were sourced from upstate New York to ensure integrity and durability while minimizing the negative impact on the environment. Materials included a bluestone used for the two distinct size patios, natural stone for the retaining walls, and concrete pavers in use for the site pathways. One challenge the presented was dealing with the sloped site. POPEL has the ability to add features into our landscapes that were unique in dealing with drainage and erosion. Our team designed a system of French drains and rain gardens to incorporate drainage, meet the client's aesthetic requirements, and complement the area. We also appear amazing flowering perennial plantings, ornamental grasses, and evergreen shrubs to the property, which added a rich layer to the overall texture of the site. One of the outstanding features of the was the utilization of a water feature an exquisite cascading waterfall that attracts local birds and adds a calming ambiance to the landscape. The final product was a landscape that seamlessly merged with the area surrounding the property, not to mention the craftsmanship of POPEL and careful attention to detail.
