PROPOSAL: Tropical Greenhouse ( MASSACHUSETTS ) Filed by HomeHarvest Edible Landscapes and Construction The Tropical Greenhouseby HomeHarvest turned a standard backyard into a tropical oasis in the center of Massachusetts. We created a year-round landscape with exotic plants and opportunities for edibles, all beautifully balanced with function to create an oasis in the midst of a rather diverse clientele in Allston, Arlington, Cambridge, and beyond. At the heart of this is a high-effeiciency greenhouse, built using premium polycarbonate panel, which provides absolute light diffusion and insulation to keep energy costs low. A step-down garden with tropical plantings like bananas and hibiscus in the wings surrounding the greenhouse with native edible herbs and vegetables in the veins between them. Such a mix not only increases biodiversity but also supports sustainable garden practices. It was quite difficult to solve some of the issues us, one of most toughest was different land level that was also required innovation that should water should not stagnate at a particular place and plant should grow well. Our team of experienced engineers designed an enormous drainage system that included permeable pavers and rain gardens for stormwater management. We also added paths built from natural stone to provide walking experience, spiralling into the greenery. Using semi-durable and local material is sustainable, visually pleasing, or combination of both and creates a better synergy with the environment. And a quaint lounging area made from reclaimed wood encourages repose and rumination in the green space. The ultimate outcome is a stunning holiday retreat that brings joy to its client and others who visit there.
