About This Project

Upper East Side by Root & Vine Gardens Root & Vine Gardens is excited to present the innovative landscaping , Upper East Side, a beautiful outdoor living space in the heart of Manhattan. This was a complete re-design of a small urban space that married creativity and function to amplify the area's aesthetic appeal and usability. The design achieved a balance of green foliage and flowering transitions with thriving native plants suitable to New York's climate. The whimsical raised garden box was built with cedar sustainably harvested, which adds richness to the aesthetics and promotes the most favorable conditions for plants to thrive. The patio area featured permeable pavers to mitigate proper water drainage while providing a high-end look. Access to the site was limited, but our team did an excellent job maneuvering through tight alleyways so as not to disturb the surroundings, ensuring construction materials were brought in as quietly as possible. Soil quality improvements were also a consideration for the , so we made a plan for global soil amendments, which we implemented to secure sustainable plant selections and longevity. The end result was a gorgeous outdoor living space, complete with a tranquil water element for sound and ambiance, and a comfortable seating area for entertainment and relaxation. A sustainably-made, and visually pleasing outdoor space is what they asked for, and indeed what they got, along with surprise additions! At Root & Vine, we practice excellence in detail, workmanship, and client satisfaction. We strive to offer an excellent outdoor space in Jersey City, Manhattan, New York, and Westchester. Upper East Side is another example of our mission to provide beautiful, functional outdoor space.
