Backyard Transformation by Plant Man In Charlotte, Plant Man recently executed an extensive landscaping called 'Backyard Transformation' that took an underused outdoor area and developed it into a beautiful oasis. The clients, whom lived in the vibrant Myers Park neighborhood, wanted a place of peace that incorporated nature, beauty, and outdoor living. We started the with a site assessment of the existing landscape that had some challenges: uneven areas in the yard and limited sunlight due to established trees. Our professional team generated a landscape plan that included installing a multi-tiered garden with native plants which could withstand the weather in the area. We added a clean stone path using locally-sourced bluestone that allow guests to navigate through the greenery in a safe, user-friendly way. To enhance the aesthetic, we incorporated a custom simple wooden arbor that provided shade for outdoor meals and relaxation. Cedar, prized for its ability to resist insects and its decay-resistant properties, was used to construction the quality wooden arbor. Further, we followed the principles of water efficiency and created a drip irrigation system to allow the colorful perennials, grasses, and seasonal plants to thrive. The best part was we created a calm water feature which not only created a centerpiece, but added sound. We built a pondless waterfall, constructed with natural stones, to overcome the challenges of limited space and included native aquatic plants that attracted local wildlife. The final was stunning. An inviting transformed space now easily tied together relaxation and beauty, where clients could enjoy their outdoor environment. After the completion, the clients emphasized our attention to detail, the combination of hardscaping and softscaping, and they expressed excitement over their completed outdoor retreat in the backyard, which catered to family gatherings and personal memory-making in the future.
