Screened in Porch by DSLD Land Management Company, Inc. Within a wonderful neighborhood in Hoover, DSLD Land Management Company, Inc. took the former outdoor "living area" and turned it into a "Screened in Porch". The was detailed, balancing design and function for an improved outdoor living space. This screened in porch was built to last, utilizing pressure treated lumber for the framing and a custom energy efficient screening product for a clear view and pest free experience. The floor is composed of a beautiful weather resistant composite decking making the materials, beautiful, durable, and easier to maintain. One major challenge was to work the porch seamlessly into the existing landscape of the site. The team strategized placement, the slope and variations of the ground, and the native flora, all with the goal to minimize disturbance to the existing environment. Native plants were added, combined with the landscape lighting to provide subtle privacy and a border around the area. The final outcome is simply gorgeous! A screened porch outdoor living space, perfect for relaxing, or hosting friends and family. The finished product is a demonstration of the level of craftsmanship and design goals of DSLD Land Management Company, Inc. The clients are thrilled and have a beautiful new extension of their home to bring the outside in - all while enjoying a bug free environment.
