Hillsborough Traditional The 'Hillsborough Traditional' , built by Kristen Rudger Landscape Design, embodies the grace and charm of traditional landscaping while respecting the local context. Located in downtown Hillsborough, this design introduces traditional aspects combined with contemporary functionality, creating a lovely outdoor space for entertainment and relaxation. The included careful plant selection of native plants and traditional shrubs that provide seasonal color while being sustainable. Local quarried natural stone pathways moved visitors throughout a lush garden experience and connect to various areas of the design. A custom-built wooden pergola, with climbing vines, became a focal point while providing shade and another scenic aspect to the design. During this , the terrain of the property presented a challenge due to its unevenness, but our team developed terraced gardens to navigate this, which also added a lot of depth to the overall landscape design while also improving drainage and soil health. The result was a stunning layering of plantings that leads the eye upwards while providing natural beauty from the surrounding area and craftsmanship. The end product made the client incredibly happy, paving the way to enjoy a tranquil outdoor space that successfully combined beauty, function, and ecological integrity. The 'Hillsborough Traditional' is a great example of Kristen Rudger Landscape Design's ongoing commitment toward quality and innovation, while at the same time providing an ideal space for family gatherings and quiet times.
