Snow Point Dever summer 2022 highlights. Under the skilled direction of Natalie DeNormandie, 'Snow Point' is the epitome of outdoor design, creating an expansive landscape that combines function and beauty into a wonderland-like experience. Situated in the scenic Greater Boston Area, Snow Point is one of the many s we have undertaken for clientele including towns from Acton to Arlington to Auburndale and beyond. The rain delay early in the proved a minor hurdle initially - our biggest obstacle was a significant slope on the site. Natalie and her adept design team set to work to design and implement a landscape plan that was both functional and visually excellent. Natural stone was sourced as a primary component in both the patio space and retaining walls of the adjoining plant beds, aiming to capture the surrounding landscape's native colors and textures, as well as remaining affordable and low maintenance. The abundant evergreen plant selections also contribute vibrancy and depth to the overall design. While native, they were also specifically chosen to be placed (and thrive) in this particular environment. As with any landscape design, the design included a beautifully constructed stone patio and fire pit arrangement. This allowed the homeowners space outdoors to host gatherings of friends and enjoy evening stars. While relaxing outdoors, homeowners can also enjoy the gentle sounds of a water feature. This feature was designed to represent the sounds of a natural stream and also act as a relaxation area, welcoming wildlife to the space. The efforts we implemented to address concerns of drainage and soil stability are also equally important to our designs. An advanced grid system of permeable pavers was utilized to provide sufficient functionality along with rain gardens positioned throughout the design to insure whatever precipitation (soil saturation) could fall, would be efficiently filtered into the plants throughout the site, thus addressing the water management needed to sustain a plant landscape and maintain aesthetic quality. The end result is always rewarding: the final product enhances the property's value and offers the homeowner a fantastic outdoor experience. As the client reiterated following completion - this landscape offers a unique setting that speaks to their lifestyle while being mindful of the surrounding environment.
