About This Project

Mountain View by Austin Outdoor Design Set in the rolling hills of West Lake Hills, this 'Mountain View' showcases Austin Outdoor Design's dedication to turning backyards into beautiful escapes. We hoped to achieve a balance of nature and luxury for our more particular clients starting their landscaping journey, and that is how this entire was born! This gorgeous landscape is filled with native Texan plants like agave and Texas sage that are low-water plants which mean they are both beautiful and sustainable. Used natural stone for pathways and limestone for retaining walls, both imported locally, integrating with the natural topoloy of the area and imparting both beauty and strength. The property was also on a slope, which led to some creative, if somewhat unconventional, solutions to minimize erosion and utilize the outdoor space. The highly skilled team designed a multi-tiered garden which was terraced with planting beds to create a separation of space for creating spaces that lead outdoor entertaining and relaxing spaces. The end product was above and beyond what our client had envisioned and included a beautiful water feature to provide soothing sounds, followed by a custom fire pit area and seating to enjoy the evenings with family and friends. The beautiful home comes to life in the surrounding attention to detail landscape, a well laid escape from the daily grind, all quality design and high-end craftsmanship typically associated with Austin Outdoor Design. This, in turn, brought the 'Mountain View' which through its quality and client satisfaction serves as a pillar of strength for our work all above that justifies our ability to take the challenges and provide the alluring outdoor spaces that sing WITH beauty and BEING to the local community of Austin and the companies around it.
