Xeriscape design Boise North End (2023) Boise North End Xeriscape Design: A Stunning Xeriscape Landscape from Boise Landscape Design This set in the iconic Boise neighborhood of the River Highlandswas designed around principles of water conservation and native plantings that thrive in the high desert life zone of the area. There is an impressive range of drought resistant plants including colourful succulents, native grasses and precision placed boulders, forming a dual purpose aesthetically pleasing and functional landscape design. We also paid for good materials decomposed granite walkways and natural stone borders so that everything is durable and low maintenance. The landscape holds many challenges, but one of the largest hurdles was working with the site’s topography, leading to creative grading options and flow throughout the space. We masterfully integrated terraced planting beds into the landscape which made the site more visually appealing and offered additional water retention for the vegetated area to make it easier for plants to thrive. And the end result is a beautiful xeriscape garden that is not only water wise but creates an ideal natural environment for wildlife. Solution: Our client was delighted with the end product, commenting that although the design has improved the aesthetics of her premises, she has also seen a marked decrease in her water use.
