Meridian Backyard Landscape Remix Here at Boise Landscape Design, we pride ourselves in turning yards into beautiful escapes and the latest Meridian Backyard Landscape Remodel is a testament to that pride in craftsmanship and creativity. In the center of Meridian, this had challenges with a slope yard and a need of diverse outdoor living areas! We started by planning the design for this small garden, consisting of terraced garden beds constructed using locally-sourced stone which complement the natural character of the landscape while dealing with the slope of the site. The plants are native to our Idaho climate for low maintenance and ecological harmony, and we chose a bright palate of flower colors. This included vibrant perennials, ornamental grass and hardy shrubs which were attractive throughout the seasons. At the centre of the remodel sits the beautiful pavers in the custom-designed patio providing an ideal place to entertain or enjoy the outdoors. A built-in firepit with surrounding extended seating is integrated for theatrically entertaining family and friends. We also added a functional vegetable garden area, giving the homeowners room to enjoy the fruits of their labour. We had to navigate existing tree roots and also ensure that any drainage worked. To ensure the functional integrity of the site without standing water, our team utilized a mix of creative strategies including grading and a french drain for its local application. The end product is a stunning outdoor that is both beautiful and functional. The clients were thrilled with their new outdoor space that they can now enjoy, entertain, and garden in. Not only does the Meridian Backyard Landscape Remodel add thousands of dollars of value to their property, but it also added thousands of dollars of quality to their life the seasonal craftsmanship and effort that goes into every Boise Landscape Design.
