Curb Appeal by Lanoha Nurseries The 'Curb Appeal' was an ambitious by Lanoha Nurseries, serving the thriving communities of West Omaha in Bennington, Boys Town, Elkhorn, Valley, and Waterloo (all destinations just a stone's throw from Omaha). We wanted to improve upon the existing landscaping of a very quaint suburban house, to showcase what nature can do in your yard. The showcased many well-curated elements, including a seasonal native perennial ornamental flower garden bursting with color. We used local limestone to create beautiful stone pathways that create a welcoming front entrance. The way the paths were made was for both looks and functionality so the paths would be accessible all year long. The property is very sloped, and we had to find ways to stop erosion, and also make flower beds that looked pretty, which was one of our main challenges. Bringing in a natural boulder retaining wall that wore like a piece of the landscape was expertly placed by our crews, offering stability and elegance. Adding this layer really not only made the land more usable, but also added another layer of composition to the design. We topped off the with some ambient outdoor lighting to highlight the major features of the landscaping while also providing safety during nighttime hours. We used LED lights for this, making sure we did not compromise beauty while offering a sustainable choice. The end product was a stunning rendering that showcased the personality of the home while amplifying its overall curb appeal.
