Grand Dunes 1 Completed by: TruDesign Studio Situated in a beautiful coastal area, Grand Dunes 1 is an impressive plant installation that shows the talent and job site competency of TruDesign Studio. Covering the beautiful areas of Garden City, Murrells Inlet, Myrtle Beach, Pawleys Island, Socastee, Surfside Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Conway, and Sunset Beach, we turned this outdoor area into a luxurious setting that embraces the value of the natural area. The opened with a detailed design discussion, when we talked with the client to get a sense of what they imagined for their outdoor living space. The design build team worked to retain the character of the site by including an assortment of native plants that would establish themselves while requiring very little additional care. We placed ornamental grasses, flowering shrubs, and trees that were selected to develop a layered, textured landscape that would help to create curb appeal. A highlight of Grand Dunes 1 is the custom stone pathway that winds through the plant installation and guides guest through the different "garden rooms" we created. The stone was locally sourced and allows for a rustic feel, all while being durable for coastal living. We also added a water feature, which further sets the backdrop for enjoying an outdoor experience, and helps to attract local wildlife. There were many challenges overcome for the , including trying to reshape a scruffy site with uneven surfaces and variable soil. Through the use of seasoned grading techniques, as well as excellent soil amendments we were able to address site drainage and to allow for plant survival to be ensured. The final product left our clients more than pleased. The combination of hardscaping and softscaping has provided our clients with outdoor area a true luxurious experience for an outdoor entertaining area, or backyard clean-pop. The architecture of the plants and appeal to our clients was truly purposeful. All soar to the great work ethic we share at TruDesign Studio. Grand Dunes 1 was yet another chance for our team to showcase our passion for what we do, a well earned example of balance between creativity and quality.
