Rob Roy on the Lake Austin Outdoor Design is excited to share a recent landscape from the 'Rob Roy on the Lake' showcasing just the right balance of nature and luxury living from one of the areas most desirable neighborhoods. Set on the calm waters of Lake Austin, this highlights our dedication to quality and forward-thinking design. In-house landscape designer developed an outdoor oasis with a combination of native Texas plants and greenery designed for a sustainable landscape that grows well in any climate. The design features beautiful local limestone stonework for the paths, which lead visitors through colorful flower beds and quiet seating areas. Informal seats and stone hearths constructed of promising outdoor fabrics are the proper group links on your family and pals with lovely lake view vistas. The sloping topography was one of the big hurdles we had to jump over it presented really tricky drainage issues since we didn't want to see a French drain or other hard scapes that would denote human intervention. We created a tiered garden specifically aimed to manage water runoff from the surrounding soils as well as to add depth to the landscape. Natural stone makes some of the best looking and functional retaining walls, and they mesh with the environment while helping retain the area around them. The result is a seamless balance of sophistication and utility that meets our clients' desire for a calm yet functional retreat, which feels both refined and relaxed. Every single bit of 'Rob Roy on the Lake', from the custom hardscapes to the high-end plant selections, epitomizes Austin Outdoor Design quality.
