Bonham Ranch - Star of Texas Landscape Bonham Ranch is located in North Dallas and showcases the design, artistry, and craft of Star of Texas Landscape. This expansive was designed to accompany the natural beauty of the area and presents a beautiful package of landscaping elements, creating a tranquil outdoor environment. The includes beautiful stone paths made from locally sourced limestone that move guests throughout the native plant gardens created for survival in the Texas atmosphere. A stunning display of drought tolerant perennials, ornamental grasses, and flowering shrubs were introduced to provide color and texture throughout the year while using minimal water. One of the challenges encountered during this focused on the uneven terrain and existing drainage issues that would eventually impact and degrade the landscape. Our team engineered innovative grading to create a gradual slope to facilitate proper water drainage and control erosion. The approach improved both the form and function of the property and made it easier to integrate the various landscaping elements. To complete the outdoor space, we added a beautiful natural stone fire pit surrounded by lounging and gathering space for evenings spent looking up at the stars. Outdoor lighting also facilitated the architectural aspects of the house while emphasizing the beauty of the landscape elements to provide a warm and inviting space to experience the outdoor family lifestyle. The result is a stunning landscape that celebrates and embodies the personal style and vision of the property owners, while featuring a design that encourages and promotes the ecological integrity of the property. The clients were thrilled and expressed their happiness that the space now serves as an extension of their home where they can share time with guests and enjoy moments of peaceful relaxation in nature.
