Laguna Beach by Altera Landscape Located on the beautiful Southern California coastline, the Laguna Beach landscaping by Altera Landscape transformed a private residence into an outdoor space that could serve as a complement to the surrounding nature. Serving the idyllic community of Laguna Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods, Altera Landscape was honored to be entrusted with this , which highlighted quality and creativity. The landscaping design features a collection of well-designed, native drought-resistant plants that come together to form striking and sustainable outdoor spaces. We installed a collection of lush succulents, ornamental grasses, and colorful flowering perennials that have a dual purpose of providing visual appeal while also supporting local biodiversity. Natural stone pathways and similar retaining walls serve their own dual purpose of more functional and aesthetic use while guiding visitors through the design and tying the surrounding beauty to the hardscape in this coastal setting. The steep site pitch subsequently led to some challenges with the landscaping . Innovations with grading and drainage had to be implemented to prevent erosion and manage water runoff. However, the design benefited immensely from advanced and superior landscaping techniques and materials, specifically using permeable pavers to enhance water absorption and limit our impact on the environment. These implementations guaranteed the design’s appeal by not only offering an aesthetic impact but also providing durability in heavy rains. The end product is stunning. A restful outdoor living space furnished with a custom-designed fire pit was created and encourages evenings spent under the stars together, while a calming water feature can be enjoyed for the soothing sounds of nature. Extensive and well-thought materials and personal craftsmanship are utilized to showcase Altera Landscape’s dedication to high-quality work. The delighted homeowners expressed gratitude for their outdoor area that has become a favorite outdoor space for family and friends to spend time together. This design showcases a combination of beauty, functionality, and sustainability and in the end exemplified Altera Landscape’s work in creating quality landscapes for Southern California residents to utilize and enjoy.
