Levy Backyard Alford's English Gardens Inc. is pleased to introduce the Levy Backyard, showcasing the excellent landscaping we do. Located in the center of Cerritos, this is the perfect blend of practicality and beauty, created to meet the client's vision of a peaceful outdoor space. The Levy backyard boasts a beautiful patio area constructed using quality natural stone pavers. This gives the space a sturdy, yet beautiful, area to enjoy the outdoors together. Adding to the beauty of the patio, we also installed an assortment of native, drought-tolerant plants. Not only do these plants enhance the aesthetic of the backyard, but they also promote a sustainable way of life. The uses of colors and materials included stunning succulents, fragrant lavender plants and ornamental grasses. Each of these plants was carefully picked, producing a beautiful palette of flowers and plants that will look great around the console year-round. One of the major hurdles of this installation was the unlevel landscape of the original backyard space. Our skilled team was able to properly grade the land to support drainage and keep the natural topography of the landscape. With proper planning to support drainage, we were also able to introduce a water feature, a pond with a waterfall, which ultimately became one of the distinct features of the landscape. The pond creates a gathering space for people and wildlife, giving the space a calming feel. To help emphasize the relaxing nature of the garden, we installed custom-built seating out of cedar on one side of the yard, providing a comfortable place to sit while enjoying the landscape. Adequate post lighting was installed as well to highlight the beauty of the garden while providing security for those using the space in the evening. The end result of the Levy Backyard is breathtaking and fulfilling for the client and shows that Alford's English Gardens Inc. can not only meet, but achieve its goals we set for the work we provide. All of the challenges were transformed into opportunities to create a garden that eventually would inspire anyone who used the space.
