Here is one example of an award-winning Rancho Santa Fe backyard that we took from concept to a finished product that reflects the quality, creativity and satisfaction we strive to always produce at BNC Builders Inc. This upscale community remodel incorporates natural finishing exterior elements and a modern design to create an outdoor retreat reflecting this client's lifestyle. The kicked off with a figurative clean slate of the tired hardscapes and sparse greenery that made up the existing landscape. We had the challenge of working with a small footprint yet maximizing every bit of the space in an aesthetically pleasing space. This layout was carefully designed with a space to relax, a space to entertain, and a space to garden, One of the main attractions of the remodel…a custom stone fire pit ideal for cozy nights with friends and family under the stars with a seating area. The patio incorporates local flagstone to blend into the natural landscape and provide durability. We added a rich assortment of drought-tolerant plants, including native California plants to encourage low-water use well into the future. We then expanded the space with a cascading water feature, providing a point of interest and gentle sounds of nature while promoting relaxation in the area. Landscape lighting is added to them to brighten walkways and showcase beautiful plant selections so that the backyard can be enjoyed in both day and night. Even though there were challenges like unequally carpeted floors and limited access points, our craftsmen found solutions while keeping the design of the intact. The net result is a backyard that functions together as a connected experience and balances cohesive design with an inviting feelexactly what the client dreamed , and more. The final result has left the homeowners with their own private haven, harmoniously integrated into the surrounding views in Rancho Santa Fe.
