About This Project

Pomino by Ventures Design The Pomino is located in Bloomfield Hills, and showcases sophisticated landscape design that connects nature to modern sophistication. Ventures Design was charged with transforming a large estate into a tranquil outdoor retreat, with the goal of reflecting the client’s vision, as well as enhancing the positive attributes of the property. The contained a thoughtfully designed landscape plan featuring a collection of native plants, seasonal flowers, and evergreen trees to promote interest during all seasons. They used quality materials for the including local stone for walkways and retaining walls to promote site durability, while simultaneously fitting into the surrounding environment. One of the challenges was the slope of the property, which required creative grading solutions and erosion management to accomplish effective management of water runoff from the roof overhangs. Our team utilized modern drainage systems and terraced garden beds to create functional garden beds that provided an aesthetically pleasing layering effect to the landscape environment. The feature area for this is a stunning outdoor living space, featuring a custom fire pit with surround seating and a captivating water feature that brings a relaxing background noise to the site. This space functions both as relaxation and as a gathering space to promote togetherness for the clients and their family/friends. The end product is a wonderful looking landscape that meets and exceeds the clients' vision for the Pomino . This was possible due to the time that Ventures Design takes to ensure quality craftsmanship concerning plants, materials, and to establish a functional, beautiful, and sustainable outdoor environment. The client was truly appreciative of the team effort, creativity, and ability to reflect their vision in a way that made them excited. Pomino is a wonderful reflection of how landscape architecture can be experienced in the greater Detroit region.
