About This Project

Felder Residence by LUSH GreenScape Design Located in beautiful Canyon Lake, the Felder Residence shows the artistry and personal touch that LUSH GreenScape Design prides itself on. This particular consisted of a full landscape redesign, which included the innovative use of design to merge natural beauty with a more contemporary design for a true outdoor space for the homeowners to enjoy. We were confronted with some elements for the such as slope that required unique grading methods, drainage issues, and an understanding of how to incorporate the use of native plants and improve biodiversity in our regions. We used a variety of natives that would be compatible with the Texas climate, while exploring the overall landscape with additional varieties of drought tolerant plants, such as Texas sage, ornamental grasses, and wildflowers that provide color and beauty throughout the seasons and require little maintenance. In order to create engaging outdoor space within the landscape we used a beautiful flagstone pathway that weaves throughout the garden, leading to a fire pit area, which had seating for outdoor gatherings and events. We used materials that were sustainable, such as reclaimed wood for the raised garden beds, sustainable mulch, and other similar materials. The final landscape is beautiful and transforms the outside of the Felder Residence into a space the family may enjoy together, that merges both functional spaces and it’s aesthetic beauty. After the installation, the Felder's were ecstatic with the outcome of the and shared that all their visions were met.
