Victorian Refresh by Hall Landscape Design Located in the heart of Napa Valley, Hall Landscape Design's 'Victorian Refresh' rehabilitated a quaint Victorian home by melding authentic architecture with innovative landscape design ideas. Serving American Canyon, Fairfield, Green Valley, Napa, Sonoma, Suisun City, Vallejo, Yountville, Petaluma, and Santa Rosa, our team eagerly focused on enhancing the exterior visuals of this property. The began with the necessary site analysis, and consideration of the present site conditions that caused some issues due to unsatisfactory contour of the property and existing plant material in an overgrown state. The design team then carefully developed a layout that could integrate a plant-heavy design, improve pathways, and usable exterior spaces that emphasized the Victorian style. Some key components included the construction of a new flagstone patio, suitable for entertaining, that also supported the existing design style of the home. We utilized local materials wherever possible to respect a sustainable approach for the use of exterior durable materials, and, to respect the Victorian within the design theme, we built custom seating areas that lent the classic wrought iron into the space to switch from Victorian style décor to contemporary seating, where needed. To elevate the esthetic, we utilized many varieties of native plants and heirloom flowers to help guarantee the plant material will be able to thrive in the Napa Valley climate and support pollinators. We also challenged ourselves to fulfill the requirements of a contemporary irrigation system, but build a sophisticated irrigation system utilizing contemporary irrigation methods that promotes water conservation and sustainability. The final product illustrated an extraordinary quality the client was thrilled with, integral aspects of the original architectural features were renovated and synergized across the property. Together blending historical architecture into contemporary landscape design, creating an outdoor lush heavenly oasis that respected the historical signature of the home, and reinforced every aspect of the outdoor living experience, together represented the visual character of the Napa Valley, beautifying all things within the image of new destination spaces for family gatherings and ultimately historical value venues were on the increase for their property.
