North Main Sitting Porch At JWK DESIGN, we strive to create outdoor spaces into places of relaxation. One of our recent s, the North Main Sitting Porch, shows our ability to create beautiful s that also delivers quality to our landscaping practice. This is located in the beautiful area of Greenville. The overall goal of this was to create an inviting outdoor sitting area focused on relaxation and social time with family. The North Main Sitting Porch is built with a wooden deck, made with sustainably sourced cedar, to enable a unique aesthetic, as well as durability. The deck has an elegant railing system with decorative balusters for an added touch of sophistication. The edge of the porch has surrounding flower beds filled with native plant species to promote biodiversity and minimize maintenance. The use of perennials and seasonal flowers ensures color year-round and increases visual experience. One of the main difficulties we faced was an uneven site profile. There was essentially no spot around the porch that was suitable without extensive grading and leveling to get a stable location for the deck. Our team was able to successfully navigate these challenges utilizing nuanced landscaping techniques and equipment. We were also able to create a drainage system to preserve the drainage from the rain once it ran off the sitting porch. The is beautiful, renews the space into a sitting area, and fits it will within the natural context of the porch and surrounding area. The porch has comfortable seating, as well as ambient lighting for evening family gathering times or enjoying the space at night alone. The North Main Sitting Porch is a new outdoor escape for our client, family gathering, or a place to relax. JWK DESIGN was excited to create this vision, both serving the Greenville area as well as the surrounding areas in Berea, Taylors, Simpsonville, ect. We pride ourselves on the quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Our clients were happy and can't wait to enjoy their outdoor oasis.
