Hudson Village Retreat by KGK Gardening & Design Corp Positioned in Hudson, Ohio, KGK Gardening & Design Corp was able to demonstrate design vision and expertise at Hudson Village Retreat . This major landscaping transformed an everyday residential property into a peaceful outdoor retreat which brings nature to the modern-day outdoor experience. Our team faced numerous challenges with the , from the uneven terrain to the existing hardscaping that had to be integrated intentionally. We spent time assessing and analyzing the landscape to come up with a plan that would both keep the natural aesthetic but improve the overall functionality of the property. The focal point of the retreat is a multi-level breathtaking bluestone patio that can be used for outdoor gatherings. Surrounded by a diverse palette of native plants and perennial color and ornamental grasses, the plant selections ensure the retreat is filled with color and texture all year long. Evening relaxation can be enjoyed around the fire pit area with ample seating that encourages social interaction. For privacy, we worked on a stunning trellis and climbing vines that offer a bit of privacy to the spaces, as well as a romantic feel. The also features a natural flagstone pathway extending throughout the landscape that creates a meandering trail for visitors to follow through the designed garden beds filled with seasonal blooms. Sustainability was the guiding theme throughout the as we used those native plant selections and materials that were sustainable to encourage local wildlife, but also performance with minimal maintenance. The retreat turned out beautifully and satisfied our clients' expectations by providing an escape from their busy lives.
