Cedar Ravine by KGK Gardening & Design Corp Located in the lovely community of Bath, Cedar Ravine was a challenging landscaping by KGK Gardening & Design Corp. This extensive converted a once overgrown ravine area into a peaceful outdoor world that mixed nature and design. This had an array of native plantings, including colorful wildflowers and hardy shrubs, to improve aesthetics and enhance biodiversity. High-quality materials mixed with natural limestone aggregates provided elegant stone pathways and retaining walls to serve as a durable and natural element of the landscape. A key issue was managing water drain down in the ravine. The crew installed a complex drainage system that used bio-swales and permeable pavers to drain rain runoff while maintaining the natural contours of the ravine. The drainage system prevented erosion and created a sustainable habitat for the plants, wildlife, and humans. The end result is a beautiful retreat with winding paths, private seating with custom-made benches, and a variety of colors and textures throughout the seasons. The client was equally excited by the transformation into both a functional space for family events and peaceful area for wildlife.
