The landscaping involved over three acres of meticulously designed property to take advantage of the natural beauty of the surroundings and create an inviting environment for club members and guests. The sports an outstanding array of native planting, allowing for care-free maintenance in a coastal setting. The local stone used for the walks and patios compliments the landscape and integrates the design into the immediate environment and local geology. The irrigation system insures that the vegetation looks attractive all seasons. Difficulties arose from the character of the site, the topography and soil embankments which were adapted to the planting design. The quiet water feature is a focal point in the Coggeshall Club . It also serves as a habitat for local wildlife. The sound of flowing water is soothing and serves to improve the overall atmosphere. Outdoor meeting spaces featuring custom designed seating and fire pits creates a setting for members to socialize and relax with friends. The presented problems to be overcome.
