North Kingstown Residence Charles Earl Landscape Architecture LLC is excited to share the North Kingstown Residence, a beautiful transformation that has combined the elements of nature and outdoor living. This exemplifies one of our highest priorities quality craftsmanship and an innovative design concept in the idyllic surroundings in North Kingstown, RI. The property included a large outdoor setting that has been beautifully designed for aesthetics and usability. At the center of the design is a colorful, multi-tiered garden incorporating native plants. The native plants provide seasonal visual interest while welcoming various wildlife. The incorporation of sustainable materials such as locally sourced stone for the walkways and patios offers both beauty and longevity for environmental sustainability. A major aspect of this involved the sloped site. Our team used several terraced gardens and retaining walls, which provided helpful drainage while creating optimal conditions for planting. The terraced gardens also serve as creative means for optimal spatial use whilst creating visual focal points throughout the property. The outdoor living area is anchored by a custom patio of natural stone pavers, which provides the perfect setting for entertaining for guests as well as relaxing in evenings under the starry skies. A custom-designed fire pit with inviting seating also provides a cozy gathering place, while landscape lighting enhances safety and overall ambiance, and allows the homeowners to utilize their outdoor retreat long after the sun has set. The design embodies beauty which functions for every purpose in the landscape.
