Hidden Cove by Ventures Design Situated within the calm of suburban living, "Hidden Cove" is a successful landscaping that has been executed by Ventures Design to demonstrate our excellence and innovation regarding outdoor space. We serve some of the most prestigious communities, such as Beverly Hills and Bloomfield Hills, and Hidden Cove captures a site that truly exemplifies nature and craftsmanship for the homeowners. The focal point of Hidden Cove is a stunning water feature, complete with a custom-built waterfall that flows into a koi pond for peaceful viewing enjoyment. The pond was completely surrounded by a combination of native plants selected for beauty and sustainability. Additionally, we used stone, sourced locally, to edge the pond and waterfall, providing a natural feel to the build, as if the elements had naturally existed together. One of the most challenging obstacles with Hidden Cove was the uneven grade of height on the site, which required considerable thought, consideration, and care to address drainage and grading. The Ventures team carefully built a graded landscape to create tiered garden beds, allowing for a variety of native colorful perennials and ornamental grasses to bloom through the seasons. We used natural boulders and reclaimed wood for little paths to add visual interest but also promote sustainability. To add function, we added a large seating patio with pavers of the highest quality for enjoyment and entertaining. Also, outdoor lighting all designed and installed to enhance the floating architectural features of the landscape, created a glow for the homeowner to enjoy in the evenings. Creating Hidden Cove produced an astounding outdoor space that not only fulfilled the client's dreams but also far exceeded the homeowner's expectations. We consider this a success and relationship with the homeowner because the detail and consideration for materials adds to the beauty of the yard into a personal space. The homeowners are left ecstatic, especially because their yard provides a feeling of nature and beauty without losing modern comfort and created space.
