Cloverdale Hilltop Cloverdale Hilltop by Geared For Growing Landscape Services is a successful landscape design that was developed to complement the beautiful topography of the area within Cloverdale. This has provided an exceedingly well-crafted outdoor space that allows the homeowners to connect with nature in their own backyard. To accentuate the natural hillside, we decided that native drought-tolerant plants that are suitable for the area would balance sustainability and maintenance. Quality materials were used, from porous stone pathways that were durable and allow for good drainage to help minimize the erosion from the slope. The main challenge was designing a tiered garden that allowed for access but kept the integrity of the hillside. Our professionals on our team overcame this challenge with a series of retaining walls made from local stone. This created a series of picture-perfect terraces with bright and colorful plants. We included custom-built seating areas made from reclaimed wood that created beautiful, useful gathering spaces. From conception to completion, this landscape is remarkable in appearance and practicality. The homeowners were pleased to welcome us back to see the beautifully crafted retaining walls, and their excitement was evident in their news that it has become an outdoor room that they enjoy entertaining friends and family while enjoying the view of nature and the surrounding hills.
