Summary: Lakeside Pavilion Landscape Remodel by TERRAFIRMA Landscape Situated on the tranquil shores of a beautiful lake, the Lakeside Pavilion Landscape Remodel vividly depicts the vision of TERRAFIRMA Landscape, serving communities including Ann Arbor, Barton Hills, Brighton, Dexter, Belleville, Canton, Plymouth, Saline, and Irish Hills. This creatively transformed an underutilized outdoor space into an exciting combination of nature and functionality. The remodel includes a large, custom-built wood deck made from sustainably harvested, high-quality cedar that will add natural beauty to the pavilion while standing the test of time. Native plantings and ornamental grasses were selected and positioned around the deck to also provide year-round beauty while encouraging local biodiversity. Another design challenge we faced was the sloping grade from the lake to the pavilion. Our experienced team implemented tiered landscaping solutions, including natural stone retaining walls, which stabilized a sloped area while adding character with rustic beauty. We painstakingly selected quarried stone in keeping with the local beauty. To build upon the experience of 'being outdoors', we designed pathways with flagstones which lead guests from the pavilion to the shoreline. The pathways are carefully framed by colorful flowerbeds filled with perennial blooms that contribute a yearly splash to outdoor decor. Finally, we incorporated ambient lighting for the evenings to highlight the cozy pavilion atmosphere, while also providing evening guests illumination to socialize and drink. In the end, a beautiful outdoor oasis was created that functions so our client can fellowship with friends and family in nature. The Lakeside Pavilion Landscape Remodel far exceeded our client’s expectations, and the design received numerous compliments for its careful execution. All the while, TERRAFIRMA Landscape has once again demonstrated a commitment to quality and service while enhancing the beauty of our communities and landscapes across Michigan.
