TERRAFIRMA Landscape - Florida Landscape Refresh TERRAFIRMA Landscape is excited to launch the 'Florida Landscape Refresh', an amazing update in downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan. The team was asked to invigorate a home landscape with many challenges, including poor draining capability and a boring look that didn't fulfill the homeowner's needs. To address the poor draining, we engineered a better system with unique drain leads made from perforated piping and gravel beds to allow for durability and to prevent standing water. The design of the new landscape included a functional but attractive combination of the appropriate native plants, ornamental grasses, and flowering perennials that were selected to flourish in Michigan and to encourage biodiversity. Accompanying the plants, we included hardscape work with a custom stone patio made out of natural stone sourced locally. The stone set the tone for the outdoor living space while allowing for movement and recreation. The stone patio led to a winding pathway made from permeable pavers that promote water draining capacity to enhance the surface sustainability. Good lighting was incorporated into the overall plan, using low-voltage LED with put motion activated and fixed to light the feature areas to enhance the experience of the landscape and promote night-time safety. The team was diligent on every detail, from soil amendments to the very end, producing a landscape that had an overall cohesive look created for the homeowner to relax and unwind in a space of unity. The final result was an aesthetic backdrop delighting the client while achieving a functional space that met their child's play and recreation needs. The 'Florida Landscape Refresh' was a that meant a lot to the team, reflecting the quality of the s that we produce, their craftsmanship, and needed marketing considering it was based in a location across the greater Ann Arbor area, including Barton Hills, Brighton, Dexter, Belleville, Canton, Plymouth, Saline, and the Irish Hills.
