Summary: Hackberry Creek Residence LandPatterns, Inc. is happy to unveil Hackberry Creek Residence, a renovation of their landscape that reflects sophistication and livability in the core of Richardson. This existing traditional landscape was planned to connect to the existing natural landscape and add value to it at the same time. The use of native plants was a priority for the to enhance sustainability and reduce water waste by using beautiful native grasses and flowering perennials year-round. A local material, i.e., limestone, was used on-site to create an artistic limestone path, which allows the look and feel of stunning elegance and rusticity. A major consideration was the these properties moderate to high slopes and elevations. The landscape architects designed a series of flower beds and retaining walls that not only considered these grading changes but also added visual interest and created a flow pattern through the landscape. Notable use of boulders and river rock blends these elements for cohesion. The water feature of a bubbling fountain surrounded by lush greenery is also a stunning centerpiece for the space and creates a pleasing aural background, plus provides water for wildlife. We utilized long-lasting durable pavers to construct a multi-functional seating area to increase usability, while creating entertaining functionality and evening enjoyment outside under the stars. The outcome of this is an exquisite landscape that the client was very pleased with, which demonstrates the art and grass-roots commitment of LandPatterns, Inc. This will always be our purpose of work. We will continue to elevate the beauty of landscape and residential life, in Dallas, Highland Park, Oak lawn, or University Park.
