Studio City Garden by Segal Shuart Landscape Architects Segal Shuart Landscape Architects are pleased to present the 'Studio City Garden,' a landscape that successfully combines opulence with usability. Located in the heart of Studio City, this garden embodies the unique beauty of Southern California and merges seamlessly with its sites surroundings. The entirety of the was characterized by the careful selection of regional native plant material, such as the rich coloration of the California poppy and resilient choices of hardy succulent. These plants not only enhance the aesthetic experience, they contribute to the transformation of a sustainable landscape. The design features an impressive assortment of hardscape elements including pathways, natural stone surfaces and a water feature, that provide both aesthetic value and tranquil sounds of water. The presente of an intentional selection of rich materials is indicative within each aspect of the design, care was taken to support enduring high-quality characteristics, while receiving harmony with nature and the existing properties context. Durable flagstone was carefully selected for the pathways and high-quality reclaimed wood was utilized for the eco-friendly decking, including planters for edible materials within the overall ecoculiar design. Through the duration of the , Segal Shuart Landscape Architects faced the challenges of uneven surfaces and amount of sun exposure, which led to innovative design compromises. Our design team implemented a tiered garden pattern while maximizing space which helped to support drainage and the overall plant zone for sun exposure. In seeing to these concerns, various outdoor spaces were created for resting, mingling and re-connecting. The culmination of the yielded a stunning outdoor scenario, which all delighted the clients. An aesthetically pleasing group seating area was beautifully enclosed by lush plants, a fresh herb garden for edible enjoyment and a custom fire pit for evening engagement. The Studio City Garden is a fervent demonstration of the Segal Shuart Landscape Architects understanding quality execution in design and a vision of creating a desired experience of relaxing and connecting with nature within the urban context.
