Bingham Farms, MI - A Relaxing Backyard Halfway, Four Seasons Garden Center & Custom Landscape made this typical backyard into a relaxing getaway. The is titled, “A Relaxing Backyard”. The four-person family deserved a quality, creative, relaxing space for their yard, and we delivered just that. A beautiful stone patio, built with locally quarried bluestone, allows the family to gather outside. The custom-designed cedar pergola ties into the natural look of the backyard but provides an important functional aspectshade. Climbing vines help to add some focal points that enhance the overall look and add another layer to the natural completion of the yard. To complete the relaxing aspect of the backyard, we added a small pond and waterfall, surrounded with native plantings. This lush planting supports local wildlife that adds to the relaxing feature of the space. The perennial flower and ornamental grasses completed the periphery of the to provide a constant interest of color; fully blooming during the summer and transitioning into fall colors. The backyard was extremely unlevel before we started the . We cut and leveled the land to create a flattish area of the yard but still kept some natural elevations that provide character to the landscape. We also provided a drainage plan and all of the necessary drainage structures to properly direct subsurface and surface drainage from the home. This solution allows the landscaping to last much longer without constant issues. The completion of the backyard is absolutely beautiful. Every aspect of the backyard exceeded our client’s expectations, from combining functional outdoor space to nature. The client truly created a backyard getaway that they can use socially for family and friends to enjoy together or simply, by themselves.
