About This Project

A Tranquil Sanctuary by Four Seasons Garden Center & Custom Landscape 'An Escape from Routine', a located in Birmingham, Michigan, is a wonderful example of modern landscape design that combined a tranquil environment with sophisticated design and executed flawlessly by Four Seasons Garden Center & Custom Landscape. We completed this for clientele based in the upscale neighborhoods of Berkley, Beverly Hills, Bingham Farms, Bloomfield Hills, and others. We assisted the homeowner transform their modest backyard into a beautiful sanctuary. This featured a complex design including multiple landscaping features such as a custom stone patio built from locally-sourced, bluestone which creates a natural and sophisticated foundation for outdoor gatherings. Along with the patio area, a variety of perennial and ornamental grasses were planted to provide year-round interest. The use of evergreen trees and fencing was integrated into the design to provide privacy within the space and a retreat from the bustle of daily life. The client’s property featured a very dramatic slope. We tackled this by implementing tiered gardens and natural stone walls to hold back the soil to handle drainage issues while adding perspective to the landscape. This method of layering allowed us to create multi-functional domains that included a cozy fire pit area that people could use on summer nights to enjoy time under the stars. Quality was considered in each aspect from individually placed flowers to deliberate cord location and plant placement in regards to landscape lighting. The ending result brought comfort even to the homeowner. They expressed their pleasure in the and use the area for relaxation and entertaining family and friends.
