Ann Arbor Screened-in Porch Addition by TERRAFIRMA Landscape TERRAFIRMA Landscape is proud to announce the completion of the "Ann Arbor Screened-in Porch Addition", a that combines indoor comfort with the natural ambiance of outdoor living. Located in the dynamic community of Ann Arbor, this represents our commitment to creating a quality product with a focus on craftsmanship and design. The porch addition is constructed out of cedar, giving off a natural and warm look while providing a durable structure to withstand nature. We used high-quality heavy screening for a bug-free space so our clients could enjoy their landscaped yard year-round. The flooring is constructed of composite decking, which is visually appealing, low maintenance, and is ideal for active homeowners. One of the major challenges with integrating a porch addition is maintaining the flow of the existing landscape without any disruptions to the backyard nature. Our talented team designed a series of tiered flower beds around the porch consisting of various native and perennial plans to work with the local climate that would create color, texture, and flow to and from the porch with the surrounding lush plantings. We also had to construct a drainage system to take water away from the structure to maintain longevity and prevent water issues. Our landscape architects were diligent to select materials that would harmonize with the client's home's architectural style creating a seamless appearance. Ultimately, the result was a screened porch that not only creates additional gathering space, but also connects the inside of the home to nature. The clients were very happy with their new porch addition and enjoyed its functionality and appealing look.
