French Country Poolside by Kristen Rudger Landscape Design Located in the heart of Menlo Park, 'French Country Poolside' demonstrates the beauty of elegance and functionality. Kristen Rudger Landscape Design was asked to change a square ordinary backyard into a serene experience. They considered every detail in a careful effort to embody the feeling of a French country home. To create this vision, we installed a beautiful natural stone patio that surrounds the pool and connects the water to the land. The locally sourced stone provides a level of warmth and durability against the elements. We also planted warming lavender alongside the pool and hydrangeas that added warm bursts of color along with a delightful scent reminiscent of the French countryside. One of the main obstacles the faced was the sloped condition of the yard that required our team to come up with terracing solutions both to prevent soil erosion and maximize usable space. Our garden experts designed tiered landscape beds with a rustic reclaimed wood to fit the theme beautifully. It provided the perfect opportunity for various plantings while creating intimate spaces to sit and enjoy your backyard. The end result is a stunning landscape that exceeds the clients requests and creates a luminous property where family can enjoy year-round. Lush, soft landscape, elegant stonework and thoughtfully selected plantings create picturesque experiences in the 'French Country Poolside' Landscape. The experience reflects Kristen Rudger Landscape Design's color, craftsmanship and attention to detail, and creation of outdoor spaces that create enjoyment and peace.
