Seattle Modern Front Yard Urban Oasis Design & Construction LLC is excited to unveil the 'Seattle Modern Front Yard' , providing a spectacular transformation of curb appeal for a modern home in Seattle. This modern landscape was designed to reflect a balance of modern aesthetics and natural beauty, suited to the lifestyle of our discerning clients. The front yard has a welcoming pathway constructed of eco-friendly permeable pavers, leading to a modern entryway lined with thriving, low-maintenance plants. We incorporated a native plant palette, which includes graceful ferns and lovely seasonal flower perennials, bringing beauty and serving as a new ecosystem to support local biodiversity. The planting design creates interest aesthetically in every season while providing the need for minimal irrigation to maintain design and a sustainable landscape. The concrete, custom-built retaining wall created from local basalts, is one of the main elements to the design. Not only does it provide utility by engaging the functional sloping hillside, but it also provides a natural rustic character that contrasts beautifully with the modern home. The challenge of this wall was to achieve an effortless transition from level to level and keep all structural integrity and functionality to the design composition. In addition, contemporary outdoor lighting enhances both the architecture of the home and the surrounding landscape visually during evening hours. This creates safety and adds a welcoming lighting element, creating a delightful experience for friends and family weekly. The end result is an urban and sophisticated front yard that fits the taste of the modern homeowner and engages the landscape and lifestyle of Seattle.
