Northstar Way by Ventures Design Ventures Design has transformed a residential landscape into a beautiful one at the Northstar Way located in the heart of high-end suburban living. We work in communities all over Metro Detroit, encompassing Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, and West Bloomfield, and Northstar Way displays our commitment to good quality work with bold and innovative design. The Northstar Way is a beautiful combination of both hardscapes and softscapes that were specifically designed to complement the existing beauty of the property. We used some beautiful stone pavers for the paths to enhance the home’s beauty that accompanies upscale living and complements the elegance of the home while remaining durable for the condition of the yard. The layout of the custom patio was designed to create integrated seating with surroundings to encourage outdoor gatherings for entertaining family and friends. The property poses the challenge of an uneven lot which required creative solutions to guarantee proper drainage and stability for built structures. We came up with tiered beds designed to take advantage of the natural slope of the yard filled with native perennials and shrubs to create visual beauty, and promote ecological sustainability. Limited space for privacy hedges was not an option as lush greenery fills the home's surroundings adding some privacy through well-placed ornamental trees creating a private oasis. The design of Northstar Way is a distinctive yard that has balance between function and aesthetics. The clients were delighted when we delivered their yard back to them. They expressed their excitement for the outdoor living spaces that have blended seamlessly with perennial basement plants that have revivalized and rejuvenated their outdoor yard.
