Patios / Seating Areas byNew England Landscapes, Inc. Another new backyard addition: A beautiful seating area and patio for a Cape Elizabeth residential client at New England Landscapes, Inc. A refuge for family and quiet nights spent beneath the stars was the objective behind this . The earthen colors of natural stone pavers and quality bluestone look great on top-grade pavers at the same time withstanding the wear and tear of the outdoors on both design and quality. We added one of those in-ground fire pits made of rough fieldstone, for warmth and atmosphere on chilly evenings. We planted an area of lush, low-maintenance perennials and ornamental grasses that provide texture and color throughout the seasons, surrounding the seating area. It had a sloped yard, which was one of the most difficult aspects of it. With the same fieldstone used in the construction of the walls, our design experts created a centered planting terrace at the top of the slope which skillfully steps down through a series of terraced retaining walls forming a multi-level patio. Not only did this increase usability, but it also added visual interest, which gave the patio a sense of being the centerpiece of the outdoor space. You could see our commitment to providing impeccable quality with every detail, from the precision of the stonework to the choice of plants we curated to ensure a thriving flora for the coastal climate. As a result, an expansive and stunning outdoor oasis was created, beyond the client expectation offering a year-round use for the outdoor space.
