New England Landscapes, Inc. recently finished a beautiful landscaping design known as 'Stone Walls' in the scenic coastal town of Cape Elizabeth, with clients all over the greater Portland area. The combination of functional and aesthetics in this is seamless with the granite and fieldstone all sourced locally with both durable and aesthetic retaining walls. The complexities of both the varying elevations of the site and the rocky nature of the soil were met with the expertise of our install crew, who built these walls to serve as beautiful landscape elements while providing critical support for the surrounding gardens. The careful handling is seen through the evenness with which the stones are laid, enabling water to flow naturally, ensuring that there is no soil erosion that would undermine the integrity of the garden beds above. Native plantings were integrated into the design, filling the stone walls with a cooling medley of flora, flourishing in the local climate. Not only does this add a splash of colour, but also beneficial wildlife attracting animals further improving the ecosystem. It demonstrates how both our hardscaping and softscaping seamlessly integrate with each other to create a natural, visually stunning space that epitomizes quality and environmentally friendly design. The end result, an extravagant outdoor retreat that allows for aesthetic bliss and functional use which astounded our clients and increased the curb appeal of their home. Every stone comes with a tale of skill and commitment, presenting a tranquil escape that continues through decades.
