About This Project

Deer Park - Rock Spring Design Group LLC Located in the sunny areas of Connecticut, the Deer Park highlights the creativity and skilled work provided by Rock Spring Design Group LLC with David Verespy, ASLA at the helm. Servicing the areas of Bethel, Easton, Fairfield and beyond. Our goal, is to create beautiful landscapes that respect the environment. Deer Park took an expansive natural area that was being underused, and created a beautiful area to again be enjoyed in peace and comfort. The employed a beautiful blend of native planting, hardscapes and water features to enhance the natural beauty of the property. Durable materials, especially local bluestone were selected for the patios and paths to create natural continuity even built form and feeding off the atmosphere of the property. One of the larger challenges was to deal with the uneven and sloping topography and site water drainage issues. We accomplished both by taking the existing grades and creating new ones, while also selecting plant varieties to better function in conjunction with the new garden topography. We specifically tended towards drought tolerant and pollinator friendly varieties when selecting plant species. The end product is a stunning landscape that allows for visitors to explore, experience the tranquility of a pond, paths, and perennial flower beds that bloom in succession throughout the season. The client was absolutely thrilled with their new outdoor area with all the beauty of design while still maintaining ease and simplicity of care. Highlights of Deer Park again meets the beautiful mountainous context of Connecticut.
