Kentfield Residence by Pedersen Associates Located in the heart of Kentfield, this gorgeous landscaping designed and completed by Pedersen Associates demonstrates the perfect marriage of nature and design. The plan was to create a truly tranquil outdoor living space that harmoniously transitions to the residence’s contemporary style. The landscaping team used native plantings to create a multi-level garden that enhances the site's inherent beauty while supporting local ecosystems. Essential components of the consisted of a unique stone pathway constructed from locally sourced granite, designed to enhance the natural flow throughout the lush garden spaces. Sustainable materials were used throughout the , including the reclaimed wood used in the raised garden beds, which provided a more organic feel while increasing durability. The tranquil water element serves as the centerpiece of the landscaping. The design captures reflections of the surrounding garden and provides the soothing sound of running water, which encourages relaxation. The landscaping team faced challenges through the design process, including uneven topography and drainage. By developing innovative designs and custom engineering, the team successfully turned challenges into opportunities for excitement and visual interest through dynamic levels.
