Overview: Deck Construction & Landscaping Design by Outdoor Makeover & Living Spaces Recently, Outdoor Makeover & Living Spaces completed a wonderful Deck Construction and Landscaping Design in the heart of Atlanta that turned a client's backyard into a backyard wonderland. Our company has designed and constructed outdoor decks and landscapes for communities from Alpharetta to Woodstock. We wanted to create a wonderful space for the client and we did just that. The process began with an evaluation of the site. As you can see, the landscape has its own challenges, including an uneven slope with drainage issues. We resolved these issues by leveling the area with a high-quality American-Canadian sourced cedar wood deck, which contributed to the natural finish and long-lasting effect. At the same time, we installed a modern drainage system that prevents long-term issues. As we created the landscape design for the and to enhance the outdoor form and function, we used a native plant palette that thrives in the Georgia climate. By using native plants, we created an interesting experience and an easy-to-care-for landscaping design made up of flowering shrubs, ornamental grasses, and perennials that would be, more or less, reliable throughout the year. Plus, we resourcefully added exterior lighting as an added means of functionality so the client could enjoy the deck in the evening, as well as for show off the landscape. Ultimately, we produced a functional, beautiful space, which is what the client was looking for. Following completion of the deck and landscaping, the client was excited to have a place for friends and family to relax and have dinner together, or have a cup of coffee and gaze at the stars in the evening.
