Friend's Home by Liquidscapes At Liquidscapes, we take great pride in transforming outdoor spaces into landscapes that are stunning, while reflecting the unique personality and needs of our clients. The recent entitled “Friend’s Home,” located in the beautiful Franklin Lakes community, pursues this goal in a most extraordinary way. This ambitious began with a redesign of the existing garden and backyard space. We commenced with a thorough site analysis to understand the unique site topography and areas of sunlight. The primary challenge was to design a landscape that encompassed the client’s desire for an escape while mitigating the problems associated with drainage, which had affected this property. To fit the lush and inviting atmosphere that we strived for, we included native plants and covered our material bases with plants that we carefully chose. The main feature of the design was a breathtaking custom stone patio made from local bluestone, friendly for entertaining because it met the durability that nature can provide. In addition to the patio, we included a selection of perennials, ornamental grasses, and flowering shrubs to ensure color and texture throughout the seasons. We added an ornate water feature, including a waterfall, which further enhanced the tranquility of the space in conjunction with the overall aesthetic to promote a more placid atmosphere. Our team also navigated some challenges associated with designing the water feature to articulate with the existing site so that there would be proper flow of water and accessibility. To complement the nature natural beauty of the plants, we install low voltage LED lighting to highlight important aspects of the garden to showcase in the evening. The turned out beautifully, exceeding the clients expectations while providing a sanctity of space for family and friends. The client was very appreciative of our efforts, thrilled that we had transformed their own back yard into an oasis. The work reflects the experience and quality of craftsmanship that we place prior to our installations, further outlining Liquidscapes as a local premier service in the community of New Vernon, Saddle River, and beyond.
